Teen pirate costumes are perfect because teens aren’t exactly rich. The expensive Star Wars replica costumes and Pirates of the Caribbean costumes are usually out of any burger-flippers salary range. The great thing about teen pirate costumes is that you can find them at relatively low prices here, then add many accessories, some of which you can find at home, like an eye patch, sword, gold jewelry, or extra leggings. Remember, pirates had no dress code. Very few of them “matched” and most of their clothes were almost rags, so there is little chance you can get a pirate costume “wrong.” This is another reason why teen pirate costumes are the perfect costumes.



Being a teen is hard enough. Your parents start to push you towards getting that first job. High school stresses bombard you with assignments and schedules. Hormonal changes put the weight of the world on your shoulders, and then to top it all off come Halloween, you find out you are too old to trick or treat yet too young to attend any of the adult parties!

Well my mean teen friends I remember being a teen quite well. I remember finding out that the older I looked, the older I felt and the more respect I gained from the world. When it came to choosing and assembling a Halloween costume worthy of making me look older the obvious choice was a pirate costume.

Chances are this Halloween teens will be hanging out with their teen friends, possibly rolling up to a party together. Groups look great at Halloween costume parties when they go as a theme, but it is almost impossible to find four or five cop outfits that match, or to get all the props necessary to make the Village People. Unless you all actually play on a sports team, it will be hard to find that many matching baseball, football, or basketball jerseys. Pirate theme is a great group theme because everyone is different, yet looks like they came off the same ship.

There are a range of “looks” to choose from. At the top is the Captain that runs the ship with a parrot on his shoulder and at the bottom are the lowly poop deck scrubbers.
